Karen Borg

Co-Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

Ms Borg is a seasoned leader with a distinguished career in the global medical devices sector. She has led major businesses within Johnson & Johnson Medical and ResMed, as well as leading health and industry organizations for state and federal government. Most recently, she was the CEO of Catholic Healthcare, one of the largest aged care providers in Australia. Ms Borg’s core capability is in sales and marketing of medical devices. She has had a strong track record of accelerating growth internationally in the US, Europe and APAC.

Amrita Blickstead

Co-Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director

Ms Blickstead brings transformation and monetisation expertise to our Company through her proven track record of driving operational efficiencies and revenue growth. As the former Chief Operating and Marketing Officer at eBay Australia, she led many critical functions including Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Strategy and Operations. Through her leadership, she transformed the marketplace by overhauling the return of marketing investments to drive growth, spearheading numerous pricing and monetisation initiatives to accelerate revenue and leading the acquisition of thousands of Small & Medium Enterprise customers through sales and major strategic partnerships. The foundation of her career began in medical devices as a Biomedical Engineer at Cochlear and Ventracor and is also underscored by her MBA from Harvard Business School.

Darren Collins

Chief Financial Officer

Darren Collins was appointed CFO of SomnoMed® in August 2023. He has more than twenty years of experience as a CFO/COO, with a proven track record of driving transformational change and strategic growth in businesses across a diverse range of industries, including investment & funds management; IT & professional services; manufacturing and sales, and distribution and services. His experience includes leadership in facilitating growth, business transformation, strategic planning, corporate governance and regulation and M&A.

Darren’s roles prior to joining SomnoMed®, include Vice President of Finance and Administration of several operating divisions of Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). During his 16 years with CSC, he was the lead financial executive for regional and global businesses operating in Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America. He was also the CFO and Company Secretary of an ASX listed manufacturing company with operations in Australia, Indonesia, Thailand, China, and the Middle East.
Darren is also a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Risk and Compliance Committee of Centuria Property Funds Limited, an ASFL licensed entity which acts as the custodian for several listed and unlisted property trusts, which collectively own a portfolio of high quality real estate assets totalling in excess of $4 billion.

Darren holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New South Wales and is a Chartered Accountant (Australia and New Zealand).

Mark Harding

Senior Vice President | Global Marketing

Mr Harding joined SomnoMed® in July 2019 as Vice President Global Marketing and was promoted to Senior Vice President in January 2021, at which time he gained responsibility for SomnoMed’s R&D team. Prior to this, he worked as a consultant advising on Australian medical device reimbursement strategy, where he and his partner devised and executed the strategy for Ambulatory Blood pressure measurement to be approved by MSAC. As Vice President for Global Marketing, APAC sales and European sales for AtCor Medical (ACG) he forged a strategic partnership with A&D Medical in Japan to open the Japanese market and expand sales globally and developed/launched AtCor’s most successful product. He previously worked for Zimmer (now Zimmer Biomet) as Director of Marketing Asia Pacific (excluding Japan), as a Product Manager for Schering Plough and commenced his career in medical device marketing with Baxter Healthcare.

In his 27 years of healthcare experience, Mr Harding has demonstrated he can develop and execute strategies for global growth. His experience includes strategic planning, new product development, product portfolio management, direct to patient marketing campaigns and day-to-day sales and operations management.

Bernadette Chehine

Director | Global Human Resources

Bernadette Chehine was appointed as Director, Global Human Resources at SomnoMed in October 2022. Bernadette has over 20 years of experience in culture and people strategy across multiple sectors including professional services, research & development and sport. She leads the company’s global HR strategy and is responsible for progressing a compelling, well-defined company culture that delivers business value and supports the success of SomnoMed’s strategic priorities.

Prior to joining SomnoMed, Bernadette held various HR leadership roles with KPMG, Horticulture Innovation, and Cricket and was responsible for setting and leading strategies in Learning and Leadership, Inclusion and Diversity, and Organisational Development. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources & Industrial Relations).

 

David Lewis

Director | Global IT

Hailing from the UK, David held various roles in IT/IS for the Ministry of Defence (UK) and then in Australia for Telstra and Colonial State Bank. He then joined Resmed in 1999 and supported its international growth as Global IT Infrastructure Director until 2017, having seen the company grow to $2.1bn.

After holding other IT Leadership roles in HealthCare and Financial Services organisations, David joined SomnoMed® in September 2020 to make a decisive contribution to SomnoMed’s growth.
