With this photo, SomnoMed will design an oral appliance specifically for their teeth and jaw shape using Computer Assisted Design or CAD software tools.<\/p><p>Once we\u2019ve created your patient&#8217;s design, we start building your patient&#8217;s device using computer-controlled milling robots. The robot carves out your design from a single piece of dental plastic \u2013 as tests have shown that this method creates appliances that are stronger. We then add the soft Bflex inner liner for comfort and polish your patient&#8217;s device, so there are no sharp edges, and it is comfortable in their mouth.<\/p><p>After the appliance is made, we test it using a 3D printed model of your patient&#8217;s teeth. We check to make sure it fits; it doesn\u2019t fall off the teeth, and it has been made exactly to the specifications provided by you. We then ship it to your dental office, normally within 14 days, so that you can start the sleep apnea treatment for your
